How does Viewpost prevent duplicate payments?
The payment engine has logic to prevent the same check number issued for the same dollar amount.
A payment meeting these perimeters will be ‘rejected’ and not processed to the vendor.
An invoice number can be used across multiple payments. Often times there are deposits, or scheduled installment payments that reconcile one invoice, so invoice number is not included in prevention of duplicate payments.
