An invoice can be deleted before it is sent, and voided after it is sent.
Void an invoice from:
- Open invoice listing
- Invoice detail view
To void an invoice from the open invoice listing, click on the three dots to the right of the amount. A list of actions will appear. Select Void. You will be prompted to enter a reason for the void. Entering a reason is optional but we recommend it for audit trail purposes. Please note that the reason is visible to your customer.
An invoice can also be voided from the open invoice listing by clicking on the invoice number, then on 'More' in the bottom right hand corner. You will be prompted to enter a reason for the void. This method allows for batch voiding of multiple invoices.
After an invoice is voided, it can be located on Viewpost by navigating to the Open Invoice Listing and clicking on the drop down arrow in the status filter at the top of the page (currently displaying "Open"). Select "Void" from the drop down of available statuses.
