Change Location of QuickBooks Desktop Account


If the file is still on the same Computer but in a different location: 

1) Go to the Window icon in the bottom of your computer. Type in: %appdata%/Viewpost (you won't be able to use the sync agent to get there because you need to log in first)

2) Select Viewpost>Config folder


3) Right-click "VpSyncUserSettings" and select "Edit"


4) Near the top, there will be this block of text. Delete it.

          <CompanyId>f0e412b6-6f9d-4bf5-8bb9-a2c700eebf2b</CompanyId>
          <LastRestoreTime i:nil="true" />
          <Location>C:\Users\Public\Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files\QB Testing R108.qbw</Location>
        </CompanyFile>


5) Save. Next time you open the Sync agent it will allow you to select the new location. 


New Computer:

Just download the agent as if you never had it.
